Farming Smarter summer students and staff get to physically distance and move quickly thanks to New Way Kubota. New Way provided two side-by-sides for use around the fields. These vehicles are 4-seater units equipped with dump beds. Research technicians use the vehicles to quickly move around the fields to get their work done. In other years they provided transportation for tours of the fields, although these tours are postponed due to COVID-19. With these smaller than your average pickup truck and more versatile units, staff have more flexibility getting around the fields.
Jay Anderson of New Way Kubota is more than happy to contribute the vehicles to help out Farming Smarter. "New Way Kubota and I really appreciate the work that Farming Smarter does, and we want to back them up as much as we can," said Anderson.
The company has full intentions to continue loaning the vehicles in the years to come, with the benefit of exposure for their brand, while Farming Smarter benefits from the versatility to conduct their work.
Farming Smarter thanks New Way Kubota for their contribution, and look forward to working with them in the future.
