At Conservation Agronomy, we aim to bridge the gap between innovative farming practices and those who can benefit from them. Our mission is to connect farms, ideas, and research in a practical, unbiased, and realistic way. We know that the quality of your land is the foundation of your farm’s success and the key to sustainable crop production. That’s why we’re not just promoting practices—we’re finding farmers who are already leading the way as stewards of their land, sharing their successes, and expanding their proven ideas to anyone ready to learn. |

On-Farm Research TrialsDeveloping projects based on your needs & your field
In 2024 and 2025, we’re offering free on-farm project support to help farmers test new ideas, products, or crops. We understand that trying something new can be challenging, especially when data collection and comparisons compete with your already busy schedule. That’s where we come in—we provide the support and tools to collect reliable data, so you can focus on what you do best: farming. Our main priorities currently of cover cropping and nitrogen management strategies have been aligned with accessible OFCAF funding for farms, but we continue to expand our focus to provide support in all areas of conservation agronomy knowledge. |

What is Conservation Agronomy?
Conservation agronomy is an approach aimed at maximizing crop yields while delivering both economic and environmental benefits through sustainable farming systems. At its core, it focuses on integrating best management practices across diverse ecologies, including weed, water, nutrient, and integrated pest management. This process also involves developing and refining conservation agriculture tools, such as specialized implements and crop cultivars, to adapt to specific farming conditions. By embracing a flexible framework, conservation agronomy ensures that farmers can tailor these systems to their unique environments, making sustainable practices accessible and effective across a wide range of agricultural settings. |

Peer-to-peer learning is at the heart of what we do. Through small, in-field events, we bring farmers and others in the agricultural industry together to share the specifics, challenges, and successes of adopting new best management practices. These hands-on, practical gatherings are designed to help you take the first step toward implementing something new on your farm. Stay tuned to our events page to find out when the next learning opportunity is happening near you! |
