The Prairie Pest Monitoring Network dubbed this weeks Insect of the Week to be the two spotted spider mite. These insects are 0.5 mm long, with eight legs and a an oval body with green, yellow and orange colouring. On their abdomen, two dark spots can be seen. Without magnification, these insects look like tiny specks.
